Cherie Flores Garden Pavilion in Hermann Park

The Cherie Flores Garden Pavilion in Hermann Park, in downtown Houston, Texas, is definitely worth the trip.

If you want to walk or jog or even rent a bike, this is worth strolling through.  There's a beautiful center green space (similar to the National Mall in Washington DC, on a smaller scale).

The green space is surrounded by floral gardens and on the outer grounds there's even an structure built with Asian architecture.

At the far end of the garden pavilion is a large, man made hill that has a circular walkway up to the top and in the center is a large water fountain.  You cross the water fountain at a few different points on your way up to the top, where you can sit on benches and enjoy the lovely view.
